Job Summary:
The Telecom Site Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective management of telecommunication sites, ensuring optimal performance, maintenance, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing a team of technicians, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of telecom sites.
Telecom Site Manager Job Responsibilities:
Site Operations Management:
- Oversee the overall operations and maintenance of telecom sites, including equipment, infrastructure, power systems, and environmental controls.
- Monitor site performance and ensure that all equipment is functioning correctly and efficiently.
- Address and resolve technical issues and emergencies promptly to minimize downtime.
Team Leadership:
- Manage a team of technicians, assigning tasks, setting performance goals, and providing guidance and support.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the technical skills of the team members.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment to ensure team cohesion and productivity.
Health, Safety, and Compliance:
- Ensure that all site activities adhere to safety regulations and industry standards.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, conduct safety audits, and promote a culture of safety among team members.
- Stay updated with industry regulations and standards, and ensure site compliance.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure the timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including clients, regulatory authorities, and local communities.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage site budgets, including expenditures for maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and supplies.
- Optimize resource allocation to minimize costs while maintaining site performance.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of site activities, maintenance schedules, and equipment inventory.
- Generate regular reports on site performance, issues, and improvements for management review.
Site Upgrades and Expansion:
- Plan and oversee site upgrades, expansions, and installations of new equipment or technology.
- Coordinate with engineering and design teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in telecom site management, network operations, or a similar role.
- Strong technical knowledge of telecommunication equipment, infrastructure, and systems.
