Painter Helper Job Description:
The Painter Helper assists the lead painter and painting team in preparing surfaces, mixing and applying paint, and ensuring the smooth execution of painting projects. This role involves performing various tasks to support the painting process and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Painter Helper Job Responsibilities:
Surface Preparation:
Assist in preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primer as needed.

Mask or tape off areas to ensure accurate and clean paint application.
Paint Mixing and Application:
Assist in mixing and matching paint colors to specified requirements.
Apply paint to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment under the guidance of the lead painter.
Ensure even application and proper coverage of paint.
Clean-Up and Maintenance:
Clean and maintain painting tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure they are in good condition for future use.
Dispose of waste materials and empty paint containers in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
Assist with Project Coordination:
Assist in coordinating and organizing painting projects to ensure timely completion.
Help in moving and setting up equipment and materials needed for each project.
Quality Control:
Inspect painted surfaces to ensure quality and address any touch-ups or corrections as necessary.
Report any issues or discrepancies to the lead painter.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Properly handle and store hazardous materials following safety protocols.
Communication and Teamwork:
Communicate effectively with the painting team to ensure a smooth workflow and successful project outcomes.
Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and objectives.
Painter Helper Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in painting or a related field is a plus.
- Knowledge of painting techniques and tools.
