HTV Bus Driver Job Description:
An HTV Bus Driver is responsible for safely operating a high-traffic vehicle (HTV) to transport passengers along designated routes, ensuring timely and safe arrival at destinations. The driver must provide excellent customer service, comply with traffic regulations, and maintain the safety and cleanliness of the bus.

HTV Bus Driver Job Responsibilities:
Safe Driving: Operate the HTV in a safe, courteous, and efficient manner while obeying all traffic laws and regulations.
Passenger Transportation: Pick up and drop off passengers at designated stops, ensuring adherence to the bus schedule.
Customer Service: Provide a friendly and helpful atmosphere for passengers, including assisting those with disabilities or special needs when necessary.
Route Management: Follow pre-assigned routes and schedules while adapting to road conditions, detours, and traffic issues as needed.
Passenger Safety: Ensure that all passengers are seated or securely standing while the bus is in motion. Monitor passenger behavior to maintain order and safety onboard.
Vehicle Inspection: Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to check the functionality of brakes, lights, wipers, and other critical systems.
Maintenance Reporting: Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel and assist with scheduling necessary maintenance or repairs.
Documentation: Maintain logs and records, including mileage, passenger counts, and incidents or accidents that occur during your shift.
Compliance: Follow company policies, procedures, and government regulations regarding driving, workplace safety, and vehicle operation.
Emergency Response: Act appropriately in the event of an emergency, such as accidents or medical issues, and ensure passengers are assisted and emergency services are notified.
Bus Cleanliness: Ensure the bus is kept clean and in good condition at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Licensing: Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements (such as Passenger Endorsement, if required).
- Experience: Prior experience in bus driving or operating similar heavy vehicles is preferred.
- Clean Driving Record: A clean driving record with no major violations.
- Physical Ability: Ability to sit for extended periods, operate foot pedals, and assist passengers with boarding and alighting as needed.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills to interact with passengers, colleagues, and supervisors.
- Customer Service Orientation: Friendly and patient demeanor to ensure a positive experience for passengers.

Work Environment:
