Computer Operator Job Description:

The Computer Operator is responsible for monitoring and controlling computer systems, ensuring efficient operation, and providing support to users. This role involves performing routine tasks, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining system performance.

Computer Operator Job Responsibilities:

System Monitoring and Control:

Monitor computer systems and networks to ensure they are running efficiently and securely.
Operate and manage mainframes, servers, and peripheral devices.
Perform regular system checks, backups, and data storage tasks.

Troubleshooting and Support:

Identify and resolve system errors, malfunctions, and hardware/software issues.
Provide technical support to users and assist with resolving IT-related problems.
Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or vendors as needed.

Maintenance and Upgrades:

Perform routine maintenance tasks, including software updates and hardware inspections.
Assist in the implementation of system upgrades and new technologies.

Qualifications:

Familiarity with data backup and recovery procedures.
